Course Content
The Diploma in Tournament Golf course will build up a solid foundation for the students in the application of the theory and practice of the every aspect of golf game including Performance Assessment, Scoring Evaluation, Short Game, Swing Mechanics, Development Research, Etiquette and Rules, Technology and Design. The Diploma course will enable students to thoroughly understand and effectively master every aspect of the game of golf to international tournament standards. Tournament students will be fully taught how to self analyse their problems and how to correct them with video analyse of their own swing
Placement and Assessment
The placement Diploma in Tournament Golf NZQA Level 5 will need the students who have completed the courses of Certificate in Golf Coaching NZQA Level 4, have played 36 holes to a handicap of a maximum of 9 or under and have a good knowledge of English to enable communications. The external assessment for this course will be the improvement in the students New Zealand Golf Handicap Index from the commencement of this course to a maximum of 0 or less at the conclusion. Much of their tournament experience will come from playing top amateur competitions
